SCHEDULE OF TRIPS FOR 2005 – 2006 BUILDING SEASON
APFSI building Team Leaders travel to Agua Prieta year round to assist other teams coming from other states. However, regular building teams associated with Agua Prieta Family Shelters from Tucson, Arizona have scheduled regular trips to construct shelters in the Neighborhoods barrio through the Fall, Winter and Spring.

Each trip is generally over a Saturday and Sunday. Some Team members travel to Douglas the night before and join us Saturday. Other members leave Tucson early Saturday morning and caravan or carpool to Douglas. We meet up at McDonalds in Douglas around 7:15 AM and travel across the border together.

Saturday starts around 7:30 AM with loading tools and equipment from our storage containers in Agua Prieta. In order to get everyone back to Tucson at reasonable time, we generally quit working around 2:00 PM Sunday and return the tools to the containers.

While most Team members work both days, any volunteer is welcome to join the Team for a single day, either day.

The majority of these Teams stay Saturday night in Mexico at the Exchange Dormitory.

Currently, the schedule for traveling to Agua Prieta is as follows:

2009 Jan 10-11 Jan 24-25 Feb 7-8 Feb 21-22 March 7-8 March 21-22

These dates have been confirmed. However, weather and other factors can affect our schedule. Therefore, if you select a date/s that you wish to travel with one of the teams to build a shelter, it is suggested that you double check with us as the dates draw closer so we can provide you with the most current information.
